3on Saturday research sessions, and a nanny who doesn't work weekends
delivery calls mean i can get pulled out any time including weekends so we had to solve this early. we asked our nanny if she knew someone she trusted for occasional saturdays. she brought her cousin. our daughter had already seen her a few times when she dropped in so the first saturday wasnt a shock. costs a bit more per hour but our nanny felt included not replaced
1on Toy library or toy rental anywhere near Madhapur?
tried a rental subscription for a few months when ours was 2. things arrived looking well loved by someone else's kid 🤷 we cancelled
1on How do state board schools like SRKS Vidyalaya in Dilsukhnagar handle LKG admission?
unrelated maybe but hospital moves get delayed more often than not. ask about mid year entry too, just in case
2on society basketball coach says 5 is too young. son is heartbroken
kondapur side there are a few weekend multi sport batches for 4 to 6, no idea about yours. also let him keep standing at the court. the older boys usually end up passing to the small guy sooner or later
we went round and round on boards when our daughter was 2 and in the end picked the preschool nearest the hospital because of my call schedule the board decision got pushed to class 1. at nursery the differences we saw were small, mostly how early they push writing ask to see a nursery notebook when you visit, it tells you more than the board name does
1on Finger-food dinners for a 2 year old who insists on feeding himself, slowly
rava upma spread in a plate and cut into squares once it sets. sounds strange, works. mine ate that most nights for months at that age. also a towel under the high chair saved our floor and my temper
1on My 12 year old has written his own questions for our Discoveri Oaks visit
ask to see a class 1 room during class, not empty. and the toilets. you learn more from the toilets than the brochure
6on Our 4 year old loved preschool before the holidays. Now she says she isn't going back
same after every trip to my parents in gujarat. back to normal about a week into school each time. we didn't talk it up much, just mentioned her friends now and then
1on Offered a team move with US-overlap evenings. Our son isn't one yet
replying from the labour ward so read it with that in mind. predictable late work is a gift compared to on call. my daughter knows if i'm not home by 8 i'll be there for breakfast. kids cope with a pattern, it's the random disappearing they don't like. 3 fixed evenings sounds manageable if the other evenings are fully yours
0on Tablets or a smart board? Screen time in a school day at Sri Gayatri e-Techno, Shaikpet
we looked at a couple of techno named schools for nursery last year. in the ones we saw it meant a smart board in each class, not tablets for the kids. but ask to sit in on a class, the name alone tells you nothing
0on partner away 10 days in may and i'm on call half those nights. no family here
already asked. two people are on leave in may so i'll get 2 swapped at best. still leaves 3
1on Every relative asks which school we've 'booked' for our daughter. She isn't walking yet
it's half real. we started looking when ours was about two and a half and two of the places we liked already had waitlists. but nobody needs to book anything for a baby. tell your uncle you'll start when she can walk to the gate
