Terms of Use

Parentz is a product of Teachbricks Private Limited, a company incorporated in India with its registered office at Plot No. 177, GRR Domain, TNGO’s Colony, Gachibowli, Hyderabad 500032, Telangana, India. These terms are between you and Teachbricks Private Limited. We are an intermediary as defined in section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000. We host what members write; we do not author it and we do not endorse it.

Parentz is for adults. You may not create an account if you are under 18. This is not a formality: the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 treats anyone under 18 as a child and requires verifiable parental consent before their data is processed, so we do not knowingly collect it at all. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will terminate it and delete the data.

You sign in with Google. You choose a username and a display name, and you are responsible for what is done through your account. Do not share it. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has access.

Usernames are permanent once chosen. Reserved and impersonating usernames are not available.

You keep ownership of what you write. By posting, you grant Teachbricks Private Limited a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, store, reproduce and display it on Parentz and to make it available to search engines. This licence exists so we can run the service; it does not let us sell your writing as our own.

You confirm that you have the right to post what you post, and that it does not break the rules in our Community Guidelines or Rule 3(1)(b) of the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

Read this before you post. When you delete your own discussion, the discussion and every comment written to it remain publicly visible, and your name is removed from it. The post also disappears from your profile.

We do this because the comments were written by other people, often at length and in good faith, and deleting the discussion would destroy their work and the help it gives the next person who searches for the same problem. Deleting a comment you wrote removes its text; replies to it remain.

Because deletion does not remove the content, do not post anything in the body of a discussion that you would not want to remain public permanently. If you need content genuinely removed — because it identifies a child, or was posted in error, or for any serious reason — write to our Grievance Officer and we will act on it.

• Content that breaks the Community Guidelines: removed at our discretion, with the account warned, suspended or terminated depending on severity.
• Content we are ordered to remove by a lawful court order or a notification from an appropriate government agency: within 36 hours, as required by Rule 3(1)(d).
• Complaints about nudity, sexual acts, impersonation, or artificially morphed images of a person: within 24 hours, as required by Rule 3(2)(b).

We preserve information and records for 180 days for investigation purposes, or longer if a court or authorised agency requires it, as Rule 3(1)(h) provides.

In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and Rule 3(2) of the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, the details of our Grievance Officer are:

The Officer acknowledges every complaint within 24 hours and disposes of it within 15 days of receipt. Please include the URL of the content and what is wrong with it.

If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may appeal to a Grievance Appellate Committee constituted under Rule 3A of those Rules within 30 days.

Parentz is a discussion community, not a medical service. Nothing on it is medical, legal or financial advice, and members replying are not verified professionals. Always consult a qualified doctor about your child’s health. In an emergency, call your local emergency number rather than posting.

The service is provided on an “as is” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we may change or discontinue features. To the extent permitted by law, Teachbricks Private Limited is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of Parentz or from reliance on content posted by members.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other applicable Indian law.

You may stop using Parentz at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms. Section 5 explains what happens to content you have already posted.

We will publish any change to these terms on this page and, where the change is significant, notify members. We inform members at least once a year of these terms, the Community Guidelines and the Privacy Policy, and that non-compliance may result in termination — as Rule 3(1)(f) requires.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Hyderabad have exclusive jurisdiction.
