Tablets or a smart board? Screen time in a school day at Sri Gayatri e-Techno, Shaikpet

linen_pigeon_6510

We may rent on the Shaikpet side next year, so I'm making a list of schools for my son, who is nine. He already spends more time on screens at home than I would like, and I'd rather school did not add several more hours. For current parents: are children working on tablets or computers for much of the day, or is it mainly a smart board at the front with ordinary notebooks? And is homework on paper or on an app?

we looked at a couple of techno named schools for nursery last year. in the ones we saw it meant a smart board in each class, not tablets for the kids. but ask to sit in on a class, the name alone tells you nothing

Ask them to describe a normal school day rather than list the technology. How many periods use a screen, whether homework is submitted on an app, and whether the app sends notices to parents or to the child. Our elder son's school advertised digital classrooms; in practice it was a projector and a parents' app with far too many notifications.
