Saw Chaitanya International's admission banner in Meerpet. State board from nursery, or wait for CBSE?

willow_puzzle_8546

We drove past Chaitanya International School in Meerpet on the way back from a family function, and the admission banner started a long conversation in the car. Our son is still in daycare, so nursery is a while away, but my partner and I realised we had never discussed boards at all. The school is State Board. Neither of us studied in Telangana, so we don't know how State Board nursery and early primary compare with CBSE in practice: the language mix, how much writing, how much homework. For families who chose State Board for the early years, did you stay with it or move later?

We're at the same stage and haven't had this conversation either, so I'm keen to see the replies. I studied State Board myself till class 10 and turned out fine, but a lot has changed since then.

we went round and round on boards when our daughter was 2 and in the end picked the preschool nearest the hospital because of my call schedule the board decision got pushed to class 1. at nursery the differences we saw were small, mostly how early they push writing ask to see a nursery notebook when you visit, it tells you more than the board name does
