1on Last Diwali an elder called my son fat in front of everyone. What do I say this time?
my son told me last year, at 15, that what stuck with him from a family wedding wasn't what his uncle said. it was that i laughed. i hadn't even noticed i did.

i'm not sure it's only jobs like yours. i'm in software, nothing like teaching, and some days i still came home empty. what i noticed later was that my son remembered the evenings i sat on the floor with him, not the ones where i answered well.
