My 6 year old told her class I 'watch people get confused on phones'. How did you explain your job?

It's not wrong, which is the problem. I run research sessions where people try out apps while we watch and take notes. She's overheard a few of those calls and drawn her own conclusion, and now her class 2 teacher thinks I spy on people for a living. I tried 'I help make apps easier to use' and she said 'then why are they still confusing'. Fair 🤷 What do you tell your kids you do? Especially if your job doesn't come with a uniform or a building they can point at.

Family business here. For years my daughter told people her father 'drinks tea with uncles', because that's all she saw when she came to the office. Not completely inaccurate 🤷

mine's too small to ask yet. i've got 'i fix hearts' ready and i'm hoping it holds until he figures out what the night calls are

my daughter's version: 'she shows people a computer and then they say no'. some weeks that's the whole job

Vice principal. Mine told her whole class I 'scold the teachers'. Took years to live that down 😂 She starts college next month and still says it at family dinners
