I work in cybersecurity. Our class 7 daughter's new school portal password was her name and 123

School sent logins for the new student portal this week. She set her own password, proudly, without asking anyone. I only found out because her brother guessed it in one try from across the room. Twenty years in this field and I have raised a child who thought 'Ammu123' was strong because of the capital A. We had a long chat. The new one is better. I'm not allowed to know it, which I suppose is the point.

the brother guessing it from across the room is the best part. my son's wifi password was his jersey number twice over for a year before anyone noticed

at least yours made one. mine wrote his on a sticky note inside the pencil box. labelled 'password'

The fact that she won't tell you the new one is a good sign. Our son, just into class 6, keeps asking me to remember his for him, which rather defeats the purpose.
