15 yr old has started going for long walks alone after dinner. says he's 'thinking'

class 10 started three weeks ago. since then, most nights after dinner he goes out for about an hour and walks round the layout. no friends, comes back calm, does his homework, goes to bed. not sure whether i should be worried or relieved. probably relieved. but i'd like to know what he's thinking about.

is he walking with earphones or without? without would interest me more.

my elder one walks laps of the terrace every evening, but he's always on a call. different thing. i'd take a silent walker over that any day

In school I see a lot of class 10 kids find their own way to switch off in June. Walking is one of the better ones. Maybe go along once, just once, without asking too many questions 🙂

tried tonight. he let me come for one round, then said 'ok appa'. i took the hint and came back up.

Similar with our daughter, on the society walking track, usually with one friend. I asked for a rough route and a time to be back, nothing more. She tells me more on the nights I don't ask.

my 14 yr old sits on the stairs landing for half an hour some evenings. i used to worry about it. now i just leave the light on out there.
