Looking at a flat two lanes from Dhyanahita High School in Nizampet. What's it like living that close to a school?

0on Sree Aditya from class 3 with almost no Telugu. Do children who join late catch up?
We're a Hindi-speaking family and this is already on my mind for my son, though he's only one. Saving this to see what Sree Aditya parents say.
1on Looking at Hyderabad Mission High School in case our daughter stays with my parents on weekdays
Not from that school, but we've been making a similar list for my in-laws' area. One thing we learnt when we asked a couple of schools: they want to meet whoever does the daily pickup, and some ask for an authorisation letter if it isn't a parent. Also worth checking that your parents are comfortable being the school's main contact, because they'll get all the calls too.
2on Daycare wants each parent to spend one morning a month in the baby room. I'm on the road most weeks
That's a good point. I reread the note and it says 'strongly encouraged', which could mean either. I'll ask. Quarterly with a fixed date sounds much more doable, and my partner could take some of those.
1on Every time I hold our 1 month old she tries to feed off my shirt, then gets furious with me
Try holding her facing out, her back against your chest, and walk around. With my son the shoulder position was the problem, it put his face right where he expected a feed. Facing out, he got interested in the room instead.
0on Taking the baby and my partner along on a three-day work trip. Has anyone done this?
A plan for the hours, yes. I'll find a park near the hotel and a place that does plain rice and dal for him before we book anything.
1on Do buses from Pristine Public School come out as far as Gopanpally?
Can't help with the route, I'm afraid, ours is still a baby. One thing I'd check though: ask where your stop falls in the order. If you're the first pickup on a long route, a seven year old can be on the bus for close to an hour.
0on He bats the bottle away the moment he's half full, then screams for it five minutes later
Dark room for the 2 am bottle tonight. He finished it, then looked for the fan in the dark anyway. I'm holding on to 'it stopped one day', though.
0on Son's friend comes home with him every day after school now. Do I call his mother?
Mine is still a baby, so I'm answering as a working mother rather than from experience. If my child were spending three hours a day at a neighbour's, I would want a message and I'd be grateful, not offended. Something simple works: 'Your son's been coming over after school, happy to have him, just wanted you to have my number.' It also gives her the chance to say thank you, or to tell you something you ought to know, like an allergy.
3on Weighing Sri Vignana Vardhini in Saidabad for our son, and PTMs are my main worry
We're at the daycare stage, but I travel for work too. What has helped: telling the teacher at the start which weeks I'm usually away. They've been good about moving my slot when they know early.
Our son's daycare has a little girl with a shadow teacher in his room, and the main change I've noticed is that the day is more predictable for everyone: the same order of activities, pictures on the wall for each part. A daycare isn't a school, I know, but that kind of routine might be one visible sign.
1on A friend keeps bringing up Takshasila Public School in Malkajgiri. Worth a look from Kondapur?
I'd agree for a bus, but some families do it by car with a parent who's driving that way anyway. That changes things. Is either of you headed towards Secunderabad for work?
0on Late home three times this week. The girls now fine me in bedtime stories
Mine is far too young to keep accounts, but I have a week of customer demos out of town next month and I can already feel the debt building. Do they accept payment in advance?
Also, did the buses park in your lane or inside the campus? That's the one thing I can't judge from a site visit on a Sunday.
Awake for a feed and this made me smile. A month of the same song I can live with. The 8 o'clock block matters more, that's when I leave on office days.
1on His birth certificate still has no name on it. Do schools need that fixed before nursery?
Noting this. Our son's certificate is also waiting for the name, and I keep postponing it because the hospital paperwork already felt endless.
1on How much time outdoors do primary children get at The Global Edge School in Kokapet?
I'm on the ORR most weekdays for customer visits. The stretch towards Kokapet is fine before about 7.45 and slows sharply after 8, and the service roads back up again in the evening. Worth timing it both ways, not only the morning.
