Function hall behind our building has a wedding every other night, and the baby wakes at every band

The wedding season has started at the hall behind us. Band when the groom arrives, crackers, then the DJ till about 11.30, sometimes later. Our bedroom faces that side. He goes down at 8, and on wedding nights he's up at 9.15 with the band and again with every round of crackers. Daycare the next morning is rough for all three of us. We've tried the fan on full and moving his cot into the hall, which faces the road instead. Better, not fixed. Has anyone near a function hall found something that works? White noise, heavy curtains, those ear covers for babies? I travel a couple of nights a month for work, so whatever we do has to be something my partner can manage alone.
