He bats the bottle away the moment he's half full, then screams for it five minutes later

Our son has started a new routine with the bottle. Half of it goes down fast, then he pushes it away, twists round to look at the fan, the door, anything. If I take it away he's furious within five minutes and wants it back, and then we start again. It's mostly bottles in the week since he's at daycare, and they say he does it there too. A feed that took fifteen minutes now takes forty, and on demo days I don't have forty. Did yours go through a distracted phase like this? Anything that shortened it?

We had the distracted phase around the same age. What helped a little was feeding him facing the wall in his room, lights low, nobody talking. It didn't fix it, just made the forty minutes twenty-five ❤️

dad of a 12 yr old so this is old memory, but in our house the evening bottle moved to a dark room with the fan off for a few months. anything moving and she was done. it stopped one day and we didn't notice when

Dark room for the 2 am bottle tonight. He finished it, then looked for the fan in the dark anyway. I'm holding on to 'it stopped one day', though.
