Every time I hold our 1 month old she tries to feed off my shirt, then gets furious with me

Third week of paternity leave. She's calm with my partner, mostly calm with the caregiver, and the moment she's on my shoulder she starts rooting at my collar. When nothing happens she takes it personally. Loudly. Is there a hold that works for dads, or do I just wait this out?

Try holding her facing out, her back against your chest, and walk around. With my son the shoulder position was the problem, it put his face right where he expected a feed. Facing out, he got interested in the room instead.

facing out worked for us too. also it's fine to hand her back when she gets like that. i spent weeks thinking i had to win every round. you don't 🤷

tried facing out during the afternoon fuss. she found the ceiling fan and forgot about my collar for ten whole minutes
