How much time outdoors do primary children get at The Global Edge School in Kokapet?

My partner wants Global Edge on our list for when our son moves up from primary, probably grade 5 or 6. He's at an IB school near Attapur now and we're happy enough, but we're comparing. From current parents, or anyone who has been round recently, what I most want to know is how much of the school day is spent outside. Games periods, break on an actual ground, anything after school? He's a kid who needs to run before he can sit, and some schools we've seen have lovely classrooms and a basketball court the size of a carpet 🤷

    I live on that side and drive past the Kokapet stretch most mornings, but I have no inside knowledge of the school. What I would check first is the drive. From Attapur at school hours it can be long, and a boy who has to burn off energy before he can sit will not enjoy an hour in a van first. Do try the route at 7.30 on a weekday before deciding.

      Good point. We did the drive on a Saturday, which tells us nothing. Will try a weekday morning before the holidays start.

      I'm on the ORR most weekdays for customer visits. The stretch towards Kokapet is fine before about 7.45 and slows sharply after 8, and the service roads back up again in the evening. Worth timing it both ways, not only the morning.

    Not a parent there, but when we compared schools for our older girl, the thing that told us most was asking to see where the primary children eat and play at break. One school proudly showed us a huge ground and then mentioned the little ones only get it on Fridays. Ask that exact question ❤

    seconding the outdoor question, for a different reason. i see a lot of kids eyes in clinic and the ones who spend real time outside seem to do better, for whatever my impression is worth. a school with proper playtime would be worth a bit more driving to me
