Nothing on schools from me yet, our son is 1. But we already juggle daycare holidays against my partner's lab calendar, and what helped was putting both on one shared calendar for the year as soon as they came out. The weeks that didn't line up stopped being surprises. I'd ask for this year's holiday list when you visit, it should be close enough to compare with your son's.

Good tip. We're at the same stage with our little one and I hadn't thought of comparing calendars at all. Does your own school give you the whole year's calendar in June? Our daycare sends theirs month by month and planning anything is hopeless.

Reading this during the baby's 4 am feed. He's years away from school, so nothing on Sree Balaji from me. It was the distance that caught my eye. Each time I've had to reach the Secunderabad side from Kondapur on a weekday morning it has been well over an hour. That's a big piece of an 8 year old's day in the back seat, both ways.

Our son isn't one yet, so I've nothing to add about the school. I'm doing the same thing though, keeping a list for a move that may never happen. My partner finds it funny. It calms me down.
