Two kids, two boards, two holiday calendars, if our younger one starts nursery at Good Citizens High School

We live in LB Nagar. Our son is 11 and at an IB school across the city. Our daughter is 3, and for nursery next June we are looking at Good Citizens High School, which is close enough to walk. The part I keep getting stuck on is the calendar. The IB school's holidays, exam weeks and events follow their own pattern, and I assume a State Board school's will look quite different. Has anyone here had two children in schools on different boards? How much of the year did the holidays line up, and how did you handle the weeks they didn't?

Nothing on schools from me yet, our son is 1. But we already juggle daycare holidays against my partner's lab calendar, and what helped was putting both on one shared calendar for the year as soon as they came out. The weeks that didn't line up stopped being surprises. I'd ask for this year's holiday list when you visit, it should be close enough to compare with your son's.

  The IB calendar is already on our fridge, so that's half done. I'll ask for theirs when we go in next week and put the two side by side.
