Potty training in the monsoon, when nothing on the line dries for two days

rose_camera_7013

Our son is 2 and seems ready: tells us after the fact, hides behind the curtain, all the signs. My mother, who lives with us, wants to start now. My problem is practical. It has rained most days this week and the shorts on the line are still damp from Saturday. Do we wait till October, or did any of you start in the rains and survive the laundry? I'm a paediatrician and I'm asking purely as a parent. The textbooks don't cover drying.

We started our son in July a few years ago. Cotton training pants, about ten pairs, and a fan-facing clothes rack indoors. The first two weeks are the laundry-heavy ones, after that it drops off a lot. I wouldn't wait four months for the weather if he's showing signs now.

Ten pairs is fewer than I feared, and an indoor rack we can do. Did you do nights at the same time, or only days?

      Replying to @rose_camera_7013

Noting the ten pairs for later, ours is still a baby. My ammamma used to say days first, nights sort themselves out.
