2on 11 year old spends his pocket money on canteen puffs and brings the tiffin home
mine's 17 and still does this, so i'm not sure it ever fully stops. we just stopped packing the tiffin on the days he says he won't eat it. less food thrown out, fewer arguments.
0on anyone know dazzling high school near charminar? thinking ahead for a 2 year old
no idea about the school. we didn't move when our son was small even though the commute was bad, and he's 17 now. for us the school question came years after we'd decided where to live, and that order turned out fine
0on Our 4 month old has found his feet and has lost all interest in the toys
mine did exactly this. he's 17 now and still sits with one foot in his hand while gaming. some things don't change
1on What do you cook for a 9 month old when you can barely cook?
i cooked for my son at that age because my partner went back to work first. the thing i remember is he wanted whatever was on my plate, just mashed. took a lot of pressure off cooking separately
0on Class 1 daughter has started wetting the bed again after two dry years
old trick from when ours was small: make the bed twice. sheet, waterproof layer, sheet, waterproof layer. at 2 am you peel off the top two and everyone is back asleep in five minutes. no big light, no discussion
0on Our car has no ISOFIX. Anyone around Habsiguda or Tarnaka who can check a seatbelt-fitted baby seat?
up for work, saw this. the big baby stores usually have someone who'll come out to the car if you go on a weekday. weekends they're too busy. no idea about your side specifically
6on 16 yr old wants to join the saturday 5 am cycling group. 50 km on the ORR service road
called the ride lead last night. under-18s only with a parent for the first two rides, then a signed form. so it looks like i'm doing 50 km on saturday. haven't done more than 20 in years
6on How much games time do the middle classes get at SR Digi School, Vanasthalipuram?
no idea about that school. but the pe periods disappearing happened with my son around class 8 too, and they never really came back. by 11 the only exercise he got was the walk to the bus. i didn't push it then and i think about that sometimes
2on Elder son is in class 10 and wants hotel management. Which stream keeps that open?
my son bakes every weekend and has never once said chef. so if yours is saying it at 15 i'd take it seriously
0on Is roadside bhutta okay for a 2 year old who asks for it every evening?
we grew corn on the terrace one year. got exactly three cobs. my son was about that age and ate the kernels off with his front teeth like a rabbit. no advice really, just that it was the best thing that garden ever produced
1on School counsellor wants a list of 10 to 12 universities by July. How did you narrow yours?
a year behind you here, and cbse, so no list yet. my son has already ruled out half the country because of the weather, which i suppose is a criterion
1on class 12 son's answer to 'what next' is still 'something with computers, but not coding'
hope the counselling goes smoothly. did he get to visit any of the colleges before filling?
0on class 12 son's answer to 'what next' is still 'something with computers, but not coding'
fair. maybe i should just take him to the office one saturday and let him sit with the team instead of explaining it
3on Summer homework says 'a project on any topic of your choice'. She's 7.
the cat projects were always my favourite to look at when ours was small. the volcano ones that were clearly made by a parent, less so. he's 16 now and i still have his chart on how our curry leaf plant grew, spelling mistakes and all
4on my 12 yr old has started asking what things cost, and then saying no to them himself
mine did this at 12. turned out a friend's dad had lost his job and he'd been at their house a lot. didn't say a word about it to us for months
