0on Does SS Model School in Boduppal take many new children at class 6?
no idea about the school, ours is still in daycare. but my cousin's two switched schools the same year, one into class 6 and one into class 4, and the younger one had a much easier time. the older one took most of the year to find his people. might just be them
3on Daycare's holiday list has 14 closure days. How do two working parents budget leave for that?
we split the list in june. two fevers later the split is gone. now it's whoever has the lighter day
0on ICSE to State Board in middle school? Considering Educare High School in Shaikpet, ten minutes away
i moved from icse to state board in class 9 myself, a long time ago. the first term was mostly getting used to how the textbooks wanted answers written. the content was fine. i missed my old friends more than i expected, and nobody had asked me about that part
0on Would Springdales in Balanagar let us sit in on an LKG class before we decide?
we did a daycare visit where they let us watch from the doorway for a bit. our son was too small to care. what i remember is the teacher never once looked over at us. that was the good sign for me
0on office creche will take my 3 yr old for the summer but not my 8 yr old
ours is a baby so we're nowhere near this, but the meeting room plan made me smile. my desk neighbour's 7 yr old came in once and had renamed every conference room by lunch
1on My partner's snoring wakes the baby. Who moves to the other room?
i'm the snorer in our house. moved to the hall at about two months. i miss the room but i don't miss being glared at at 3am. we're still working out when i go back
0on Will lunchtime video calls unsettle a 6 month old once I'm back at work?
we did calls for the first few weeks of daycare. he'd look at the screen for a bit and then at the ceiling fan. i don't think he minded either way. i minded when i hung up though
6on Daycare wants her on fixed nap times before she joins. She naps whenever she likes
Our son starts daycare in a couple of months and we got the same note. When I asked, the manager said babies who come in with no routine usually fall into the room's nap times within two or three weeks, and that they'd rather we didn't fight it at home first. Not tested yet, so I can't promise she's right.
my parents offered the same for our son before we chose daycare. we said no, mostly so i'd never have to tell them it wasn't working. still can't decide if that was a fair reason. and a baby is a different job from a school kid
the sport bit holds for adults too. i only know half my team because of friday cricket
