4on How heavy is the homework at Good Citizens High School around class 6?
the one thing i'd check is the second language. my daughter's telugu gets done with a lot of help at home and it's still the subject i worry about most. if he's been doing it at an easier level so far, a change at class 6 might feel like a jump
3on Passed around at a family function for four hours, and our 3 month old hasn't settled since
give her a quiet room for twenty minutes every hour or so. at our functions i used to disappear into a bedroom with mine and say she needed feeding even when she didn't. nobody argues with that
0on my 7 year old has been checking on the idli batter every hour like it's a patient
she's now asking for a towel for it. also wants to know if it gets cold at night
4on Her class 12 commerce tuition batch has grown to 40. Move her to a smaller one now?
i was in a forty-student accounts tuition in my own class 12 and stayed for the friends too. learnt more from them than from the teacher, if i'm honest. not saying that's advice
0on Our younger one speaks mostly Malayalam at home. Would he manage at St Anthonys in Himayatnagar?
same with my daughter. telugu at home, nothing at school for weeks. then one day she came home and called me 'ma'am'
2on Found my 7 year old's list of every 'later' I've said to her
Started quietly. We fixed the doll's leg at breakfast and went up to the terrace this morning. She crossed both out herself, very seriously. I haven't said anything about the rest.
1on Son has adopted an Irani café near his coaching centre and now corrects my chai order
this is the nicest kind of being corrected. my father used to take me to one near tarnaka on sunday mornings and i felt so grown up ordering for both of us. he always let me get it wrong
2on Picked for the school cricket team's summer tournament, and it clashes with our family trip
no cricket here. but last year our daughter missed her first dance performance for a family wedding, and she still brings it up. not saying that decides it. just that she remembered it a lot longer than we expected
