0on I see babies all day at work and still can't cut my own son's nails
Doctors' kids are the worst patients. Mine is 8 and still won't let me take out a splinter. Only his mother is allowed.
2on tumbling class for 4 year olds wants the full term paid before a single session
Not normal for the places we've used. Our son's football academy gave two trial sessions and then took fees monthly. I'd ask if they'll do one paid trial. If they won't, that tells you how they'll think about refunds too.
0on Class 9 son plays cricket four evenings a week. Cut it now, or wait for class 10?
Why cut it in class 9 at all? Nothing about 9 needs four free evenings.
0on Board registration form, and her surname is spelt differently on Aadhaar
Our son's Aadhaar and birth certificate have a spelling mismatch too, so I'm curious. Did the school say which document they treat as final?
6on Any shop around Nacharam or Tarnaka with high chairs on display to try?
Not your side, sorry. We skipped the high chair and used a booster seat strapped to a dining chair. Cheaper, and it still comes with us on trips.
0on Unreachable for three hours in theatre. What does your caregiver do if something happens?
Add the building security number and one neighbour who is usually home. Most small things get sorted before you'd have answered anyway.
2on Our 1 year old now blows on every spoonful before eating it. Including curd.
Enjoy it while it's only his own food. Next stage is blowing out other people's birthday candles.
2on Class 2 sum marked wrong because he added the tens first
We wrote a note once for something similar. Teacher replied 'he can use it from next term'. Fine by us.
Did you ask that at the school directly, or hear it from other parents? Every school tells me 'English'.
1on Is Javid Mission High School in Falaknuma English medium in the early classes?
As another doctor: these moves have a way of slipping by six months. Shortlist, yes. Forms, no.
1on My mother insists on doing the night feeds so I can 'work'. She is exhausted and won't admit it
Fixed nights, written on the fridge. My mother respects a chart more than a conversation.
3on Chenda classes in Hyderabad for a 9 year old who came back from Kerala wanting to learn
Have you tried the Malayali associations in the city? They tend to run cultural classes for children on weekends.
0on Class 7 timings at Gowtham Model School, Madinaguda, and are Saturdays full days?
Fellow shift worker. Whatever the times turn out to be, find out what Saturday looks like in practice. Ours is a 'half day' that ends at 1, which on a roster week is the hardest pickup of all.
1on My son found a bug in the app I work on, and reported it in the family group with screenshots
Mine has moved on to my handwriting. He read a prescription I'd left on the table and asked if it was in code.
3on Has anyone done a summer with no classes or camps at all for an 8 year old?
With my shifts, an empty summer would really mean my mother runs it, so we can't. But if I could, I'd keep one fixed thing a day, even something small like a morning walk or a library visit, so the day has a start.
