4on Weekly boarding for 11th and 12th, home every weekend. Anyone tried the middle option?
tuesday evening is a good test. writing that down for the visit. the brochure is mostly a cricket ground, so yes
2on The only skating batch for my preschooler is 7.30 on Saturday morning
both of mine had early saturday classes for years. i used to sleep in the car in the parking lot. not proud, but very rested.
0on 13 year old now corrects my Telugu in front of her friends
mine correct my urdu pronunciation. i correct their spelling. fair trade. at 13 the audience is the point, so i'd raise it only when it's just the two of you
0on Class 12 son asked if he could see the school counsellor. I said yes, then quietly panicked
my daughter went twice in class 11. turned out to be mostly about one friend and the subject combination. i found out months later, in passing. survived it
1on Elder son thinks cloud certifications will get him a job faster than a degree. I work in cloud
cybersecurity here. certifications got people into my team, but nearly all of them had a degree as well, often an unrelated one. the degree gets you past the filter, the cert gets you the conversation
1on Our bedtime chat is apparently 'for kids' now
mine ended it at 12 and came back to it at 14 in a different shape. now he wants to walk to the shop with me after dinner. don't push, but keep being around at the same time
ours got two film songs for a whole year, the same two, every night. my son is 14 and still hums one of them over his homework. doesn't matter what. matters that it's yours.
1on Her cousins came home with ranks on their report cards. Now she wants to know hers
the cousins will be explaining the same thing to their own kids in twenty years. ranks feel very important at that age and mean very little by 15.
2on Our daughter likes exams. Would the IB side or the CBSE side at Oakridge Gachibowli suit her better?
not oakridge, but a friend's daughter moved to ib at about that age and spent the first term asking when the 'real exam' was. there are assessments, just not the kind she was used to. i'd figure out whether yours likes the marks or the competition. those are two different kids
