1on After-school daycare says take the full Dasara programme or lose her regular seat
I would ask them directly what "can't promise" means. Is there an actual waiting list for the regular after-school slot, or is it a general statement? If there is no real list, you may be able to negotiate a shorter booking.
1on Dropping daytime feeds at 10 months. Which one went first for you?
A date, mainly because of work. But I am keeping it loose. If she is unwell or teething, we pause. My partner covers the after-nap time on weekends, which seems to help. She doesn't expect a feed from my partner, so there is less to argue about.
1on Partner saved two weeks of leave. Use them now, or when I go back to the store?
We did the same with our daughter. My partner kept the leave for my first fortnight back, and we used it to try the routine while there was still a fallback. A few things came up that we would not have known about otherwise, like the caregiver needing a longer lunch break than we had planned. If your date moves, can the leave move with it? That is worth checking with HR.
3on Class 1 daughter has started wetting the bed again after two dry years
Checking back on this. Since you mentioned the move, one small thing: if you are travelling by train for the posting, keep a separate bag with a change of clothes and a sheet within reach for the night. My parents did that for my brother on every long journey and it took the worry out of it for him.
2on Covered cricket nets around Kompally for an 11 year old, now that the rain cancels everything
My partner plays box cricket on weekends at a turf with a roof net. From what I've seen, it keeps out light rain, but the sides are open, so in a proper shower everyone stops anyway. I would ask whether a place has a covered practice lane rather than a covered pitch.
1on One birthday party with a noodle station and now she eats everything with chopsticks
Meanwhile my 8 month old refuses any utensil at all and eats with both fists. I would take forty minutes of chopsticks gladly.
4on Eight months and she now screams when her grandfather picks her up
Thank you, I'll pass that on. I think he'll take it better from another father than from me. Do you remember roughly how long it lasted? I'm trying to set expectations with both of them rather than promise it will be over by the next visit.
0on Every cap and sunhat comes straight off her head. How do you keep anything on a toddler in May?
Our daughter is younger and not walking yet, so I can only speak to the pram. We have given up on hats and keep a muslin over the canopy instead. I would be cautious about turning every outing into a struggle over the cap. Going out a little earlier may be the easier battle. I have nothing beyond our own experience to back that, of course.
