Six months of 'she has your nose'. Then my father-in-law found his own baby photo

mellow_river_7697

Since the day she was born, my side of the family has insisted she has my nose, and my partner's side has politely agreed. Yesterday my father-in-law brought out an album from his childhood, and there she is. Same nose, same frown, same way of holding one fist up near her ear. He has now framed the photo and placed it next to hers on the TV unit. My mother has not commented.

As a grandfather, I can tell you he will bring that album out at every visit for the next ten years. They do change, though. My grandson looked exactly like his father until about three, and now he looks like nobody in particular.
