0on Would a dad with a 1 year old be out of place in the colony's Sunday stroller walk?
Update, in case anyone was curious: I asked her this morning at the cart. They start at seven, go twice round the park and then sit near the gate for a while. She said one of the other mothers' husbands used to come too, before his office timings changed. So I won't even be the first. Sunday it is.
3on Would a dad with a 1 year old be out of place in the colony's Sunday stroller walk?
That's probably the better way in. There's one mother I see at the vegetable cart near our gate most mornings, and her son looks a couple of months older than mine. I'll try her. Writing this at 3 am with him finally asleep on my shoulder, so the teeth are clearly winning tonight.
0on 4 year old wants to stay the night at her cousins' over the festival. Too soon?
The pillow idea is a good one. Our son is one and his grandmother has already started asking when he can stay over. Coming back to this thread in a couple of years.
1on do children at sri swami chinna jeeyar international school in kukatpally carry lunch?
Only a toddler here, but I drive from Sanathnagar towards Kukatpally most mornings and it gets slow after 8, worse when it rains. If you do go for it, I'd count on breakfast being eaten in the car.
0on Working from home with jazz on all day. The caregiver says that's why he won't nap
Day one update. Music off at 1.30, headphones on. He slept an hour and fifty. Unfortunately he then found me with the headphones, crawled over and pulled them off my head, so he clearly wants the music, just not at nap time. The caregiver is very pleased with herself.

That makes sense. The routine starts around 1.30 and that's usually when I'm in the middle of something with the volume up. Will try switching it off at the start of the routine tomorrow.
We're at the same stage and haven't had this conversation either, so I'm keen to see the replies. I studied State Board myself till class 10 and turned out fine, but a lot has changed since then.
0on Took four kids from our building birdwatching on the terrace. We counted the same crow eleven times
Same stage here, except everything is 'kaaki'. Crow, cat, the ceiling fan. Our helper started it.
3on Sun's up at 5.40 and so is our 1 year old
Blackout curtains bought us about forty minutes with our little one, not more. The light was half of it. The other half was the pigeons on the AC unit outside the window, and no curtain fixes that.
2on Partner's team moves to Kokapet in July. Is May too late to look for a class 8 seat?
No school experience at that level, our boy is still a baby. But two people in my team moved to the Narsingi and Kokapet side last year and both found seats for middle classes in May and June. Not at the first school they wanted, though. The smaller schools seemed to have more room than the well-known names.
2on Nrupatunga High School in Lingampally for an ICSE child joining class 9? Only if we move west
We're years away from schools, our son is a baby, but we looked at flats around Lingampally last year. If you end up there, try the drive to the school at 8 am on a weekday, not on a Sunday. The roads near the station are a different place in the morning.
2on Boards are over and our son wants four days in Gokarna with five friends
Mine is a baby, so this is far off for us. But my nanna let me go to Araku with friends after inter on the condition that we called home from every STD booth on the way. Maybe the modern version is a location share for the four days?
