Took four kids from our building birdwatching on the terrace. We counted the same crow eleven times

velvet_sparrow_4816

Neighbours' kids saw my binoculars and asked to come along on Sunday. Ages 6 to 10, one pair of binoculars, zero patience. Final list: crow (x11, same crow), pigeons 'too many to count', one kite that a boy insisted was an eagle, and a sunbird that only I saw, so according to them it doesn't count. They've asked for round two next Sunday. I may need more binoculars.

The sunbird not counting because only you saw it is very correct scientific method 😂 My 1 year old points at every bird and says 'ba'. Pigeon, crow, aeroplane. All ba. Give her a few years before she joins your terrace group.

Same stage here, except everything is 'kaaki'. Crow, cat, the ceiling fan. Our helper started it.
