do children at sri swami chinna jeeyar international school in kukatpally carry lunch?

a friend whose daughter goes there talked about it at a birthday party last week and i haven't stopped thinking about it. she said it felt calm, which is more or less the one thing i'm looking for. we'd mostly been looking at ib schools, so this is a bit of a turn for us. from himayatnagar it would be a long day for our son, and he's the slowest eater i know. most days his tiffin comes back two-thirds full. so the practical question: does the school serve lunch for the primary classes, or is it all from home? and how long do they get to eat?

Full tiffin coming home is universal I think, our son's comes back with the chapati edges every single day :) No idea about that school's lunch arrangement, your friend would know better than anyone here. Does her daughter carry a box?

she carries one, plus a snack for the mid-morning break, from what my friend said. so probably all from home. which brings me back to the real issue, a long day with travel on top and a boy who eats a third of what i pack.

Only a toddler here, but I drive from Sanathnagar towards Kukatpally most mornings and it gets slow after 8, worse when it rains. If you do go for it, I'd count on breakfast being eaten in the car.

breakfast in the car is probably where we end up whichever school it is. thanks, that's a useful nudge to look nearer home as well.
