Nrupatunga High School in Lingampally for an ICSE child joining class 9? Only if we move west

Partner's work may shift to the Lingampally side next year, and if it does, Alwal to there isn't a commute anyone should do daily. Nothing is decided, I'm just reading up. Our daughter is in ICSE now. Nrupatunga came up as a school near where we'd look. How do state board schools handle a joiner from ICSE in class 9? Mainly worried about the second language and how different the maths and science books are 🤷

No idea about Nrupatunga itself. ICSE to state board in the middle years, from what I've seen with my daughter's friends: the maths is easier to move into than the languages. Telugu as second language is where they struggle if they haven't done it before.

We're years away from schools, our son is a baby, but we looked at flats around Lingampally last year. If you end up there, try the drive to the school at 8 am on a weekday, not on a Sunday. The roads near the station are a different place in the morning.

Good point, thanks. We did one Sunday drive and thought it was easy. Will do a weekday one.

We weighed a change of board for our elder daughter a couple of years ago and decided against it. The question that settled it for us was which board she would sit class 10 under, and whether two years was enough to settle into a new one before that. Has your daughter said what she thinks about switching?
