my 3 yr old is the opposite he'll walk up and hug strangers at the mall. not sure which is more stressful

we were the bitten side last year. my younger one got bitten at daycare and i never blamed the other mother for a second, two year olds do this. what annoyed me was the school telling me at pickup with zero detail and then refusing to say anything more

OB here, and also did this myself with an 8 yr old and a bump. what i tell patients and what i did at home were different 🤷 i'd sit on the bottom stair, let her climb into my lap for a minute, then we walked up together. it's the closeness she wants more than the lift. a little ritual at the stairs, not a speech

my sister gave her son a card at 16 with an alert on her phone for anything over a set amount. he knew about the alert so it never felt like spying. mine is 11 and already asking
