tuition is two chapters ahead of school and now she's bored in class

indigo_diary_3994

12 yo, class 7. maths tuition teacher likes to go ahead so they're 'prepared'. result: she's already done it when the school teacher explains, switches off, then drops marks on silly mistakes in the class test. teacher wrote 'careless' in the notebook. not sure careless is the right word do i ask the tuition to slow down or is this a her problem

Ask the tuition to follow the school's order instead of running ahead. Ours agreed once I gave them the school's monthly plan. It took one conversation.

Is the carelessness only in the chapters she already did in tuition, or in everything? If it's only those, boredom is a reasonable explanation and slowing the tuition makes sense. If it's across the board, it may be about speed or checking under time pressure, which is a different conversation. Have you looked at which questions she got wrong?
