school went 'no homework on weekends' and now weekdays are double

new rule this term for class 7, no homework friday to sunday. sounded great. what happened is monday to thursday now carries everything that used to be spread over the week plus the weekend, so she's at the desk till 9 most nights and still doing the friday work on thursday night. anyone else's school tried this? did it settle down or did parents push back

Double how? Time it for one full week, every subject, start and stop. If it really is past 9 every night, that's a number the school can't argue with. If it's two heavy nights and two light ones, that's a different conversation.
