1on Both families want to come and stay after the baby, and we have a 2BHK
First month, one set at a time. Speaking from a 2BHK with six adults and a newborn fourteen years ago. We laugh about it now. It wasn't funny at the time.
2on Almost one and refuses the spoon from anyone. Do we just let him get on with it?
From a long way back: ours did this too. We put an old bedsheet under the high chair and gave up on the floor. The weight check is the thing to go by. If that's fine, what's on the floor is a laundry problem, not a food problem.
Ha, the cricket slot. There was the same chatter in my son's class 8 batch this year, three or four boys talking about switching. One family did it. The others stayed once they compared what CBSE 9 and 10 science covers with what the foundation courses teach. It overlaps a lot more than the boys assumed. Also ask the coaching place itself. Plenty of them take CBSE students without any issue.
0on Every nursery brochure says 'activity-based'. What does a day at Holy Spring High School look like?
Ha, every brochure in the city has 'holistic' in it somewhere. Ask for a sample weekly timetable for nursery. A school that has one will happily show it to you. If all they have is the brochure, that's an answer too.
0on Tamil is a graded subject for her from this year, and nobody at home reads Tamil
We're Bengali in Hyderabad and our son had Telugu at school till class 8. Two things helped. A college student came twice a week just for reading, nothing else, no homework help. And we stopped calling it his weak subject at home, because he'd started using that as a reason. He never loved it. He passed comfortably though.
0on 16 yr old asked us not to put his class 10 results on the family group
The one comparison is the whole problem. My mother forwarded my son's swimming certificate to the family group and within ten minutes someone's grandson had two certificates. He hasn't let her post anything since 😂
