2on Grandson has worked out that at our house the tablet rule is "ask Dadu"
A card is simple enough. I'll suggest it to my son this weekend, and I'll practise 'what does the card say'.
0on How do we start getting our 4 year old assessed? Kompally side
I'm a physician, though not in this field, and in Pune, so I can't suggest names. Generally your regular paediatrician is a sensible first stop. They know his history and can refer you on. Many will also arrange a hearing check early, simply to rule it out. And book now even if the wait is long; you can always cancel.
6on Three late clinic evenings a week and she's asleep before I get home
I did late clinics for most of my children's school years. Our compromise was a later bedtime twice a week, so those evenings weren't entirely lost. Mornings at that age are short and rushed anyway. In my experience the evenings were the better time.
2on Class 10 son put a 'Do not disturb' sign on his door. Six snack trips since 7 pm
When my children had exams, the kitchen never closed. Some things don't change.
2on school has split class 10 into sections by unit test marks
In my school days they did the same, A section and B section. I was in B for a year and it did me more good than harm. Leave him alone unless he raises it.
0on 3 month old screams through every bath, start to finish
Is the fan on during the bath? With our grandson the cool air on wet skin was the problem, not the water. Fan off, room warm, towel ready on your shoulder before he goes in. Small thing, worth trying.
4on Toddler won't get into our lift since it jerked once. We're on the sixth floor
Our grandson would not go near a hand dryer for a year. We did not push. Let him watch from outside the lift a few days, doors open, nobody getting in.
1on Pregnant and tired, and my 4 year old still wants to be carried everywhere
We're in Pune too. With our grandson at that age the rule was 'Dadu carries, Mummy holds hands'. He accepted it because it was a rule, not because anyone explained it. Is there a grandparent or your partner who can take over the carrying for now?
Boiled water from the first few weeks, especially in summer. When I mentioned it, our grandson's paediatrician looked at me as if I had suggested whisky.
