4on Work shadowing for a 16 year old, or another certificate course?
Shadowing. An online certificate at 16 tells a college very little. A week watching someone sit through reviews and rework tells her whether she wants the job. Ask the family friend what she will do each day. If the answer is 'observe', push for one small task she can finish.
2on Which second languages does Mount Banyan offer if a child joins in class 4?
When you call, ask about the specific class each of you is joining, and ask whether the option depends on how many students choose it. A general list of languages tells you nothing. My daughter's school listed three languages in the prospectus and only two actually ran in her year. Get the answer by message or email if they'll give it, so you're not relying on what someone said on the phone.
1on first year son wants a two-wheeler for college. we're in uppal
My daughter rode to college all four years. We made her do a proper riding course first, not just the licence test. A licence in this city tells you very little. How much riding has he done so far?
3on vishwa shanti high school in ramanthapur, when do they take class 3 admissions
Phone the office and ask for the dates. Go in person before the rush starts. Carry her last two report cards anyway.
2on Elder son thinks cloud certifications will get him a job faster than a degree. I work in cloud
I interview for SRE roles. No degree, no interview, at most firms I know, whatever the certs. That may change by the time he graduates. I wouldn't bet a 16 year old's options on it.
1on Ten weeks between her last exam and her joining date. She plans to sleep through them
In our house it would be an intention. Which is why I asked. I'll see whether she books the lessons herself.
3on Placement letter came in March. Since then the relatives have been sending 'profiles'
She hasn't joined yet, so no id card. But answering with her work instead of arguing, that I can use. The joining letter might do the same job.
0on I come home for lunch between OPD and rounds, and every goodbye now ends in tears
Is the forty minutes for her or for you? Both answers are fine. If it's for you, keep it and accept a few weeks of tears. If it's for her, the tears are telling you something about how it's landing.
Nobody here is going to know their bus routes. Call the office and ask two things: which routes reach your area, and what time the first pickup is. The second number tells you how early your boys will be getting up.
0on How do I get my parents to stop reporting on everything our daughter does on their days?
Ask your daughter what she would accept being reported. Take that list to your parents. If you negotiate only with them, she will still feel discussed.
2on Is five months too soon to restart our Sunday food walks, baby in a carrier?
Five months is fine. Cooking smoke in his face for an hour is not. Pick quiet lanes, not the crowded junctions, keep it short the first time, and carry a muslin for shade.
2on Six weeks back at work and I'm enjoying it more than I expected. Is that a terrible thing to say?
Who decided enjoying work is terrible? He's fed, safe and happy, and you're home for the evenings. That's the job. Stop giving people the answer they're fishing for.
