Ten weeks between her last exam and her joining date. She plans to sleep through them

Daughter finished her final semester exams last week. Joining date at the company is mid-August. Her plan for the ten weeks: sleep, see friends, nothing else. Part of me says she's earned it. Part of me says this is the last stretch of free time she'll have for years and some of it should go into something. Driving, a short course, anything. Did you push, or leave it?

We are in the same gap right now. What we agreed, after one bad conversation, was two things only: she learns to drive properly, and she cooks dinner twice a week, since she'll need both whatever comes next. Everything else is hers. Three weeks in, the cooking is happening. The driving lessons have been 'next week' twice.

What does the driving look like in practice? Lessons booked with a school, with a start date, or the intention to learn? The cooking works because it has fixed days. The driving sounds like it doesn't.

      Replying to @hazel_veranda_8510

In our house it would be an intention. Which is why I asked. I'll see whether she books the lessons herself.
