I'd ask what the bus is costing him. If the last convenient bus means he skips labs or project groups, that's a real reason. If it's mainly that his friends ride, that's a different conversation.
Mine is two years away from asking and I already dread it. My nephew in Pune got one in first year on the condition that he never took the highway stretch. He kept to it for about a month. Which route would your son actually take?
Haven't reached this, my elder is only 13. But my brother got a scooty in first year and amma made him call the minute he reached college, every single day, for a year 🙂 Maybe start with a rule like that?
Our son asked in first year too. We said yes to a used one so the first scratches didn't hurt, and bought a proper helmet ourselves. He lives away now and the bike mostly sits in our parking.
My elder is in class 12 and has already started on this, so I'm reading every reply. Paavam you, it's never a short conversation 🙂
50 min by bus is maybe 35 on a bike but its the ORR stretch at 7 pm that would worry me too. could he ride to the metro and do the rest by train
My daughter rode to college all four years. We made her do a proper riding course first, not just the licence test. A licence in this city tells you very little. How much riding has he done so far?
Keep going
