Everyone says read to her from birth. What does that look like at four months?

Is any 2 month old really 'sleeping through the night', or is that a relatives' story?

1on What do you send in the daycare food box for an 8 month old?
At home she eats maybe two thirds of the same amount, so not that different. Will try the insulated container for khichdi and stop counting the leftovers so closely.
1on he has learnt to shake his head for no. uses it for everything including yes
Six months here and her only form of communication is grabbing my glasses. I'd take a head shake.
0on Seven months and he suddenly screams at anyone new, including my sister
Ours is four months and still goes to anyone, so I'm reading this with some dread. But why is it your job to protect your sister's feelings from a baby? He's seven months old. He isn't being rude. I'd let people sit near him and wait for him to come round, and not hand him over at all.
1on Grandson wants to hold the neighbours' new baby every evening
Speaking as the parent of a four month old: let the baby's parents set the rules, and have him ask them each time, not you. Some days I'm happy to hand mine over. Some days she has been crying since 6 and I'm not. A polite seven year old is much easier to say no to than a grandparent.
We got a silver one at her naming. It's heavy. She hit herself in the eye with it on day one and it's been in a drawer since. Check the weight before you check anything else.
0on Daycare says 'teething' every time he's cranky. Is that just the default answer?
Mine is two months old, has no teeth anywhere near coming, and my family has blamed teething twice already. It's the answer when nobody knows.
1on Daycare wants her to have a 'comfort object' for the toddler room. She's never had one
Why do they want one? Ask them. If it's for nap time, ask what they do for the children who don't have one, because there will be several. Don't buy something for a form.
