Pressure cooker whistle, doorbell, the neighbour's drill: nothing. She sleeps through all of it. I bake to stay sane on maternity leave. The oven timer beeps three times and she wakes up screaming like I've betrayed her. Every single time. I now stand next to the oven for the last two minutes so I can switch it off before it goes.
Is it a high, sharp beep? Our microwave did that to my daughter as a baby. We put tape over the speaker.
Our son was like this with the washing machine's end-of-cycle tune. Every other noise, fine. That one, betrayal. We ended up using a phone timer on vibrate in my pocket. Still no idea what it was about that tune ❤
Phone on vibrate is what I use for everything now. Even the mixie waits till she's out for her walk with her dad.
Some babies seem to react far more to one particular pitch. In my daughter's case it was our old landline ring, for months, and then one day she stopped caring. Hope yours outgrows it soon.
