We used one from about 10 months to 18 months. The first week he hated it. What changed things was putting it in the room where we were, not in a corner, and keeping a few 'special' toys only for in there. After that he'd give us 15 to 20 minutes most days. Then he worked out how to climb, so it had a short life ❤️

Took him in on the way home this evening. The doctor checked him, wrote two lines, and the daycare said that's fine unless something changes. Thank you, I was too frazzled to think of the simple thing.

Can't help with class 11, sorry, our son is nowhere near that age. But if you go in to ask, could you see whether the little ones have a separate block? It's on our list for nursery in a couple of years and I haven't managed a visit yet.

We had the distracted phase around the same age. What helped a little was feeding him facing the wall in his room, lights low, nobody talking. It didn't fix it, just made the forty minutes twenty-five ❤️

Agree about the spoken part. Our son hears Telugu at daycare all day and already understands more of it than I expected. For the school list, a Hindi-speaking parents' group on the Kompally or Shamirpet side might know which schools still have seats this late.

We use a daycare for release Saturdays when both of us are stuck. Ours is 10 months though. Some daycares near us take babies for Saturday half days, but many don't take under-6-months at all, so ask that first. I'd do a trial Saturday or two before July, while your caregiver is still around to hand over.

Our son was like this with the washing machine's end-of-cycle tune. Every other noise, fine. That one, betrayal. We ended up using a phone timer on vibrate in my pocket. Still no idea what it was about that tune ❤
