ukg admission confirmation needs both parents in person. i'm out of town all that week

jade_badminton_4919

school says both parents have to come to sign. i travel for work that whole week and they only do confirmations on weekday mornings. playschool she's leaving doesn't do ukg so this is the only seat we have is this a real rule or just what the office says by default

Ask them why. Ours accepted a signed letter from my partner for class 1. They wanted both signatures, nothing more. Nobody tells you unless you ask.

wait till class 11. both parents again, plus attested copies of everything in triplicate. i went straight from the airport with my bag

From the school side: usually it's about signatures on the declaration, not about seeing both faces. A lot of offices will accept a signed authorisation letter and an ID copy from the travelling parent if you ask before the day rather than on it.

Saving this. We're a couple of years from KG and the paperwork already worries me more than the admission ❤️
