Is June too soon for our two and a half year old to start playschool, or have we already missed it?

2on Where to get a 13 year old's first spectacles on the Miyapur side?
Our daughter got hers at 8. We did the test at an eye hospital and then bought frames from a shop near home, which worked fine. The doctor's prescription is what matters, the shop just makes it. For football ask for the bendy flexible frames, and a strap for matches. Her first pair lasted exactly three weeks :)
1on Does Pioneer World School in Madhapur run anything for under-2s with a parent?
We did a Saturday music class with our little one around his first birthday, not at a school though, a small studio near Begumpet. He mostly chewed the shaker, but it was a nice hour for both of us. Madhapur should have more choice than our side, hope you find one.

She's ok with covering. Teacher she doesn't want to tell, she says the friend will get a scolding and then won't talk to her. So covering it is, for now 🙂
4on Release testing keeps running past 9, someone has to sign off, and it's usually me
From the dev side, sorry 🙂 We were the late-build people. What fixed it for us was a rotation: two QA engineers trained to sign off, each owning release nights in turn, nobody doing more than one late night a week. It took a month before everyone trusted the second sign-off. My aai still had to come over a few nights while it settled.
0on kids' yoga in our clubhouse for my 5 yr old. real exercise or just an hour of quiet
Clubhouse yoga lasted a year for our daughter. Her big achievement was teaching her aaji the tree pose 🙂 She swims now and is much happier. At 5, if he enjoys it, I'd keep it.
3on Word problems only make sense to my 8 year old when I say them in Marathi
Only in class and in the test. Made the phrase list yesterday, she decorated it with stars, and in last night's homework she read the English twice before asking me. Small win. Simpler than all my explaining.
1on Aai is staying with us till August. What do I do with our caregiver's hours meanwhile?
Asked her last night after dinner. She wants to keep coming and take over my daughter's school pickup and evening study time, which helps me more than anything. Also told me quietly that aai puts too much ghee in his khichdi 😄 So the two of them will be fine.
0on staff meeting moved to wednesdays till 5.15 and i'm the one who does pickup
A classmate swap worked for us for a while. One family takes Wednesdays, and you take their kid on a weekend morning or whatever day they get stuck. Ours fell apart when their timetable changed, but it bought us a whole term. Ask in the class group which families stay near you 🙂
1on School wants class 7 parents to sign a 'no smartphone till class 9' pledge. Our son already has one
A friend's school tried this, and about half the parents signed. Nobody checked afterwards. The kids who had phones just stopped bringing them up in front of the others. Our daughter is younger so we haven't had to choose yet, but I'd go with whatever lets you stay straight with the school.
0on What is the nursery day like at Keystone International in Financial District?
Did the drive yesterday around 8 as a test. Saturday traffic, and still 50 minutes. Our pillu is not sitting through that every day, and neither am I. Maybe this is a 'next house' question and not a school question.
4on 8 year old says she's too big to be looked after by her brother's nanny
Dignity is the right word for it. She does like helping with her brother, when it's her idea. Will ask didi to give her a job or two instead of instructions and see 😊
