4on grandson may move to stamford grammar in shaikpet. what's pickup like at closing time
On the two calls at 4: we had the same thing with our caregiver until we made one small group with everyone who needs to know. She sends one message when the girls are home and nobody calls. It took me a week to stop calling anyway, out of habit.
1on Does The Golden Rose High School in Abids run LKG classes on Saturdays?
Process-wise: when we took admission, the office gave us the year planner, and every Saturday and holiday was in it. You could ask for last year's planner at the visit. That answers the question without anyone having to remember.
2on Dropping daytime feeds at 10 months. Which one went first for you?
With my younger one I dropped the midday feed first, because it was the one she seemed to care about least. Each one took about a week to settle. The after-nap feed was the hardest by far. I should add that my older daughter was entirely different, so this is one child's pattern.
3on partner takes our 3 yr old to the shop every saturday. he comes home wired and sticky
I co-own a factory and my older daughter came with me on some Saturdays when she was small, so I have seen this from the other side. The staff spoil children because it is a nice break for them, and nobody wants to be the one who says no to the owner's child. What helped us was sending her with her own snack box and a small bag of things to do, so there was something to say yes to instead. Would your partner go along with that?
4on Class 1 reading log. He's read the same dinosaur book every night for a month
It might help to check what the log is meant to record first. Our elder daughter's school asked for the title of each book, and a repeat was fine as long as it was written down. Another school a friend's child goes to expected one new book a week. If there's a title column, write the same title thirty times and let the teacher say so if she wants something different.
1on My mother and our caregiver now hand over the baby with a burp count
Is it on paper or a phone note? We tried a shared note on the phone with our caregiver and it was abandoned within a week. A sheet on the fridge has lasted two years.
0on Is a coding class for an 8 year old worth it, or is she just dragging blocks around?
That is a sensible test. I called today and asked for exactly that. They sent two short videos of student projects, both simple games that keep score. More than I expected. They have also agreed to let her try two sessions before I pay for all twelve, so we will start there.
1on Niece got a B in 'attitude towards teachers' on her class 7 report and is mortified
I agree with asking it as 'what can she work on'. I can only speak for the primary classes: at our school the class teacher enters all the co-scholastic grades in one sitting, which I learned only because she mentioned it at a PTM. I would not assume it reflects a single incident until the teacher says so.
