1on Grade 1 show and tell every Friday and my daughter freezes each time
My daughter was the same until about class 3. What helped a little was practising with one person outside the family, her aunt on a video call, not just us. Talking to people who already love you is very different from talking to a room.
0on Weighed my class 6 daughter's school bag. 7.4 kg.
Ours was a little over 6 kg when I checked last term, so you're not alone. Two things helped a bit: combined notebooks for two subjects where the teacher allowed it, and leaving the atlas and dictionary at home and sharing with her bench partner on alternate days. It doesn't solve it.
2on class 10, and he's started tutoring the neighbour's son in maths. paid
From a distance, with a younger one: I would look at what happens to his own work on those two evenings. If he's still getting through his plan, it sounds like a good thing. If the tutoring becomes the reason he doesn't, that's the conversation to have.
2on My older girl revises by quizzing her little sister. The little one is now winning
Keep the little one on the job till the exams are over. Teaching someone else is still revising, even if the student is unfairly good.

Short is the lesson I'm taking from this too. My first notes were five minutes and she skipped through them; the two-minute ones get listened to. I like that your son watches with you. I've asked our caregiver to sit with her while a note plays, even though she can't follow the maths, and that seems to keep her at the table.
4on Daycare near home or near my office, now that I'll be in three days a week?
The calendar point is a good one. Ours closed on the building's maintenance days, which nobody had mentioned when we joined.

Update in case it helps someone: we did a trial this evening with a tutor a colleague suggested, using the fractions chapter she finished in January. Within half an hour he noticed she converts everything to decimals to avoid fractions, which her current tutor has been working on for months. Promising. Thank you for the idea.

That's a good test. On call tonight and reading this between patients. Did your daughter know it was a trial, or did you keep it low-key?
