My older girl revises by quizzing her little sister. The little one is now winning

mint_compass_2826

The older one has her first set of assessments this month and her method is to sit her younger sister down and quiz her on the science chapter. The water cycle, mostly, and which month is monsoon. Three evenings in, the younger one answers before the question is finished, and the older one has started saying "you weren't supposed to know that one." I think this is no longer revision for anybody but the little one.

Keep the little one on the job till the exams are over. Teaching someone else is still revising, even if the student is unfairly good.

wait till the younger one starts correcting the older one's spellings. that's when it stops being cute

ours work the other way round. the younger one asks the questions and the older one invents answers with total confidence. half of what my younger one knows about volcanoes is fiction
