1on Took my 17 year old to see a residential college. Her questions were not mine.
the pillow question is legitimate. according to every cousin who's done hostel, the pillows are bricks
0on inter first year and a test every sunday since june
mine is in class 10 and the tuition centre has started sunday tests too. by the time they reach inter there won't be any weekend left to argue about
0on Grandparents expect her at every evening pooja, and half-yearlies start the same week
fair. she's 15, she can make the call to her ammamma. i'll just be around when she does
1on my mother-in-law's list of foods i can't eat is longer than my doctor's
mine banned cold water for the whole pregnancy. in a hyderabad summer. still haven't fully forgiven her
2on Daughter's first salary lands this month. Do we ask her to contribute at home?
mine is still in school so this is far off, but i like the idea of her owning one bill completely. the internet, or her own phone. small enough not to hurt, real enough that she notices when it's due
4on Raos High School goes up to class 10. Where do the children go after that?
planning class 11 for a baby. respect 😄 but yes, what the other reply said. most of my daughter's friends in state board schools are heading to junior colleges after 10th and nobody treats it as a big change. the arguments in their houses are about which college and how far, not whether to move
2on My 7 year old has been worried about floods since he saw the news
or watch it with him and show him on a map where it flooded and where you live. worked for my daughter at that age, mostly. she still checks the rain apps but she stopped asking where we'd sleep
so the university gets paid either way and the parents get two months of calm. clever business. what did she decide?
0on Nursery at a school with its own daycare till 6. worth putting at the top of the list?
ours is 15, so i'm going back a while. the school daycare was great in nursery and ukg. by class 2 she was the oldest one left there and hated it. so top of the list for the first few years, maybe not forever
