Nursery at a school with its own daycare till 6. worth putting at the top of the list?

Daughter is still small, so this is a year away at least. My theatre lists run late and there's no second adult at home most days. A school that keeps her in its own daycare after 12.30 sounds like it solves everything. Does it, or am I missing something

Our daughter's school doesn't have one, so we did school plus a separate daycare nearby for two years. The trade-off we noticed: a school daycare is convenient, but it's the same building and the same rules from 8 till 6. A separate daycare felt like a change of scene for her in the afternoons. Find out what the afternoon looks like there, not only whether it exists.

ask what happens on half days and during the summer break. that's when you need it most and that's when a lot of them close

ours is 15, so i'm going back a while. the school daycare was great in nursery and ukg. by class 2 she was the oldest one left there and hated it. so top of the list for the first few years, maybe not forever
