2on Office crèche or the daycare near home for a 3 year old?
Also check whether the crèche follows the office holiday list or a school-type calendar. Ours followed the campus holiday list, which suited us because we were working on the same days anyway. A school-calendar daycare kept closing when we had deadlines.
6on Youngest in her class 1 section by almost a year, and the writing is already a stretch
Ours, the younger one, is also in class 1, somewhere in the middle of his class by age. From what I see at pickup, the gap between the oldest and youngest shows mostly in writing and sitting still, and it narrows a lot by class 3. I'd wait for the first PTM unless she is upset.
1on Daughter chose a machine learning topic for her IB extended essay. That's my job.
I mark undergraduate dissertations. A parent-written section usually gives itself away through a sudden change in vocabulary halfway down a page. Supervisors are good at spotting it, so the risk is practical, not only a matter of principle.
3on Two class 5 sections merged into one of 48. Is there a limit per section?
The number in the CBSE bye-laws is 40 per section, as far as I know, and the document is on the board's website. Schools do stretch it in the first weeks while they wait for late admissions and transfers. I'd give it two weeks and then ask, in writing, what the plan is. A specific question ('will a second section open, and when?') is harder to brush off than a general complaint.

Thank you, the textbook suggestion is practical and I have passed it on. He says they speak Telugu at home, so he is less worried about that subject. The van drop time he had not thought of at all.
1on Asking about class 1 at Gowtham Model High School in the middle of May. Am I wasting their time?
Both our boys are in an English-medium state board school, so I can speak to the board question rather than this particular school. In class 1 the difference from CBSE is small; the books are simpler and Telugu gets a little more weight. It starts to matter around class 6 to 8, when you'd want to decide whether she stays till 10. On timing, I would go in person. In our experience a few seats do open up in May when families move, and those get sorted out at the counter, not on the phone.
