Office crèche or the daycare near home for a 3 year old?

umber_diary_4382

From next month my team is expected in office four days a week. The office has a tie-up crèche on the campus, so she would ride in with me in the morning and come back with me. The daycare she goes to now is near home in Madhapur and she loves it. The crèche sounds convenient on paper. But my release weeks run late, and I'm wondering what a 3 year old does in a crèche till 8 pm with nobody she knows. And the daycare means my partner and I keep juggling drop and pickup as we do now. Not sure which version of tired is better.

We did an office crèche with my younger one, years ago now. The morning drive together was the best part of the day, he chattered the whole way. The hard part was that his day was exactly as long as mine. On late days he was the last child there and very cranky in the car home. Maybe ask how many kids are usually still there after 7. ❤

car chats were the best bit for us too. till the day the cab got stuck on the flyover and he needed the loo lol

One thing nobody told us. On days you work from home, does she still go to the office crèche? That's where ours fell apart.

Yes, this. Ours was attached to my hospital, and on my off days nobody wanted to drive forty minutes just to drop her. So she stayed home and lost the routine.

Also check whether the crèche follows the office holiday list or a school-type calendar. Ours followed the campus holiday list, which suited us because we were working on the same days anyway. A school-calendar daycare kept closing when we had deadlines.
