A colleague moving to LB Nagar asked me about Krishnaveni Talent School for his daughter's class 1

A younger colleague from my department is moving to LB Nagar this month and has asked me, of all people, about Krishnaveni Talent School for his daughter, who starts class 1. We live in Kompally, and east of the city I know almost nothing. She has been in a CBSE preschool so far. What he would like to know is how the early classes go for children coming from a CBSE preschool, and how long the class 1 day is. I said I would ask here rather than guess.

Not that school specifically. But for any CBSE preschool to State Board class 1 move, ask to see their class 1 Telugu and maths books before deciding. That's where the joiners feel the difference, in my experience, not the English. And for day length, ask what time the van drops, not when school ends :)

Thank you, the textbook suggestion is practical and I have passed it on. He says they speak Telugu at home, so he is less worried about that subject. The van drop time he had not thought of at all.

We visited the LB Nagar campus years ago when our elder daughter was small, didn't end up joining, so I can't speak to the classes. Office staff were patient with our questions. That's all I've got, it's been a while.

My daughter had a couple of friends from there in junior college, but that was years back and tells you very little about class 1 now. What helped us most with schools on this side was going at dismissal time and talking to two or three parents at the gate. Your colleague could do that in one afternoon.
