We were in a small flat too, and my one regret is the big cot. Our son slept next to us in a basket for months and the cot stood there holding laundry. That was seventeen years ago, but I'd still say: anything you can get delivered in a day, you don't need to buy in advance. Probably doesn't settle it between you two :)

It starts with one school app at 6 and somehow by 12 everything comes through apps and a group chat, and you can't take the device back. Not saying don't, the old phone is the sensible way. Just decide now where it lives at night, because that rule is very hard to add later.

This is the part nobody in his batch had mentioned. He likes chemistry and gets on with that teacher, so we've told him two days isn't happening. We're now talking about three, with every lab period included. The school still hasn't replied to my email.

We had one when our son was small. It lasted a year, then we stopped because the arguments were about the list, not the work 🙂 What replaced it was each of us owning whole jobs. One did all the mornings, the other all the doctor visits and forms.
