Can't speak for the school. On the drive though: I do clinic visits on that side for work, and weekday evenings from the ORR exit have taken me close to two hours. Might change the maths.

ours was exactly like this till about 4 months. then it eased off, slowly. we did nothing clever, just took turns and tried putting him down a few seconds sooner each week

Ours is younger, so I'm reading closely. My partner's plan for that same year is two mornings a week at a music or play group and home the rest of the time. Would a part-time group like that suit you, or does it end up costing the same as playschool?

Too early for us, ours is a toddler. Simplest is to call the office. Most schools will tell you over the phone if there's a class 4 seat.
